For many cowboy fans this has been a fantastic season. However for me it has been a difficult one. I may not be Tony Romo's biggest fan, but I like the guy and he has been the cowboys since he took the quarterback job. When Prescott first filled in for Romo I thought, "Ok, he can get his feet wet and win a few games before Romo comes back." Well, he has won 8 straight games, not all by himself I might point out. Now the job is Prescott's and Romo may not be a cowboy anymore after this season. It's hard to watch the team when what used to be their heart and soul has been taken out.
I understand what the cowboys are doing but I don't agree with it. First of all what is Dak Prescott? He has won several games this season, but at some point he will hit the wall I guarantee it. It's just very tricky to rely on a rookie qb to win the super bowl for you. Is he RG 3 or Big Ben? He might not be a very good quarterback next year. Also I think he is getting too much credit for the wins. Zeke Elliott is a fantastic player, and the offensive line is the best in football. The offense might be the best in the league, and not because of Prescott. I'm willing to admit that Prescott is the future, but I'm not sure the future should start right now. Rookies do not win super bowls. That is why for me this has been a troubled football season.
